Why: Legacy Emanuel's Trauma Nurses Talk Tough program was formed to promote and educate the community on prevention to reduce risk and injury. The free and reduced bike helmet program is to help ensure that children and adults have access to helmets to reduce the chance of serious injury.

The Oregon Trial Lawyers Association has proudly partnered with Legacy Emanuel's Trauma Nurses Talk Tough since 2013, contributing $20,000 per year to provide free bike helmet fittings and low-cost bike helmets for community children in need. Nurses and trial lawyers both see too often, the devastation to families when a child is injured when not wearing a helmet.
