Laura Recko and Josie Silverman to join FamilyCare

PORTLAND -- FamilyCare Health is pleased to announce two new hires: Laura Recko, will join FamilyCare as the Communications & Public Relations Manager and Josie Silverman is the new Health Equity Coordinator.

Recko will manage the internal and external communications, brand awareness, marketing and community sponsorships for FamilyCare. For the past 7 years, Recko managed the REACH CDC’s public relations, marketing and communications efforts as well as their fundraising activities. She was responsible for overseeing all internal and external communications, marketing and public events, public relations, media affairs and special events.

Silverman will work with numerous partners and FamilyCare staff to focus on reducing health disparities in marginalized and underserved populations. Silverman brings a solid record of community outreach experience and has worked effortlessly with numerous community partners and state agencies regarding healthcare access and equity.
