State-of-the-Art Medical Center Offers Comprehensive Health Services
January 27, 2017

SALEM – Lancaster Family Health Center (LFHC) has expanded its footprint in Salem with the addition of a new 35,000 square foot community health center.

“LFHC has been operating out of a medical office on Beverly Avenue in Salem since 2001 and the team has done an outstanding job delivering care,” CEO Carlos Olivares said. “However, in order to serve our patients, we needed a larger facility that would enable us to continue to deliver the high-quality health care they deserve.”

The state- of-the-art health center offers LFHC patients a pharmacy, 12 dental operatories, more than 30 exam and procedure rooms, and a teaching kitchen. The clinic also includes integrated behavioral health consultants, registered dietitians, and WIC Nutrition Services.

“The clinic will open with approximately 60 employees, but we will grow as we move past our initial January opening,” Morgan Wharton, LFHC Clinic Manager said.

Lancaster Family Health Center at Lancaster, located at 255 Lancaster Dr. NE, opened its dental practice on Jan. 10. The medical clinic opened its doors, Wednesday, Jan. 25.

“We outgrew our space at the Beverly Avenue location,” Clinic Medical Director, Dr. Heather Diaz said. “We are so excited to be able to offer more space and a brand-new facility for our patients, as we continue to offer excellent care.”

The original location is re-opening as “Lancaster Family Health Center at Beverly” on January 25. The clinic will offer same-day access for established LFHC patients who would like to be seen for acute health care issues.

“LFHC is accepting new patients and we are all excited to share our new facility with the Salem community,” Wharton said.

Lancaster Family Health Center is a federally qualified community health center that offers comprehensive primary health care services including, prenatal and postpartum care, family planning, pharmacy, dental care, nutrition services, behavioral health, and community health workers.
