Komen Oregon & SW Washington Announces Call for Abstracts for their 2016 Breast Cancer Issues Conference

Portland, OR, Oct. 22, 2015– Susan G. Komen Oregon & SW Washington announces a call for general poster session abstracts for its 2016 Breast Cancer Issues Conference, which will be held March 5, 2016 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Portland, Oregon.

Thought leaders and medical professionals in all areas of breast cancer health, survivors and co-survivors are encouraged to submit proposals to the Komen Oregon & SW Washington office by close of business Friday, November 20.

The Breast Cancer Issues Conference provides survivors, support persons, and health care professionals the opportunity to learn about and discuss breast cancer topics with leading oncologists, doctors, researchers and fellow survivors. Topics will cover emerging research and treatment options, breast cancer risk reduction and quality of life issues.  This years’ keynote will be given by Annie Parker, three time cancer survivor, author of the book and inspiration of the film, Decoding Annie Parker.
