Karen Kern Joins Central City Concern

Portland, OR -  Karen Kern, MPA, CATC, has joined Central City Concern as Director of Substance Use Disorder Services. Karen will partner with CCC’s Addictions Medical Director, to oversee the agency’s full continuum of substance use disorder services across six programs delivered in Multnomah County.

Karen brings 17 years of experience in substance use disorder treatment, including direct service, facilities management, quality management, and program and senior leadership. She holds a BA in Social Sciences from Washington State University and a MPA from the University of Nebraska. Karen is a Certified Addiction Treatment Counselor and is a Certified Group Home Administrator.

Central City Concern provides healthcare, affordable housing and employment support to over 13,000 people annually. More than 3,000 people access substance use disorder services at the agency every year.
