Integrating SBIRT Into Primary Care

Audience: Participants will learn how to:  
  • Use validated tools to assess patients for unhealthy alcohol and drug use.
  • Perform brief interventions and referrals to treatment.
  • Describe how SBIRT can be implemented in a busy primary care setting.
Audience:  Clinicians, administrators, social workers, health educators, nurses, counselors, and behaviorists who work in outpatient primary care settings.   CME and CEU credit: “This Live activity, Integrating SBIRT into Primary Care II, from 03/06/2013 - 03/06/2014, has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 2.00 Prescribed credit(s) by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.”    Date: Monday, October 28th 2013   Time:   12:00pm -1:00 Registration/Lunch 1:00pm -  4:00 Program   Location:   Rogue Valley Country Club 2660 Hillcrest Rd. Medford, OR 97504   Please note Country Club’s Dress code:  Denim attire, cutoff, jogging, or gym shorts, tank tops, halter tops, bare midriffs, coveralls, and overalls are not acceptable in dinning areas.  Shirts must have sleeves, and either a collar, turtleneck, or mock turtleneck.
