Blind and Low Vision Adults Know How to Keep Cool

August 3-9, 2017 -- People from all over Oregon and the US are arriving at Hull Park, in Sandy, OR for a weeklong, physically challenging adventure retreat. Did we mention they are blind? The retreat is designed to excite and break boundaries for those with vision loss.

Activities they will be enjoying this week include class 4-5 white water rafting, kayaking, rock climbing at French's Dome at the foot of the Mt. Hood National Forest, hiking, fishing, archery, wind surfing in Hood River, kayaking and more. Average age? 67! How do they do it? With safety, verbal and tactile instructions and fun!

The mission of The Oral Hull Foundation is to provide educational resources and services as well as, social and recreational activities to those with blindness and low vision and to ensure that blindness and vision loss does not mean dependency and isolation.
