April 3, 2013- The Oregon Chapter of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HiMSS) today announced their latest event entitled “Spring Forward: Understanding Big Data, Interoperability, Analytics, and Patient Engagement,” will take place on Monday, April 22nd from 10:00am—7:00pm at the Salem Conference Center. This program is also approved for up to 5.2 continuing education (CE) hours for use in fulfilling the continuing education requirements of the Certified Professional in Healthcare Information & Management Systems (CPHIMS) and the Certified Associate in Healthcare Information & Management Systems (CAHIMS). This Annual HiMSS Oregon Spring Conference allows hospitals, physician practices, the vendor community along with government entities and individual HIMSS members to expand, explore and interact with each other and get introduced to the many technology enablers and IT solutions that will best position and equip all stakeholders in a positive meaningful way. The conference theme this year will focus on the challenges associated with the continued delivery of quality health care in the face of increasing demands placed upon providers. Breakout Sessions at the conference will Include: IT Infrastructure for New Payment Models; ICD-10; Mobile Device Management BYOD; Health Information Exchange and Health Insurance Exchange; as well as Quality Measurement - Data.
