Healthcare Veteran Dr. Roger Muller Named FamilyCare Health Chief Medical Officer

Portland, Ore. – June 13, 2017 – FamilyCare Health is pleased to announce that Roger Muller, MD, FACEP, has been named Chief Medical Officer (CMO). Dr. Muller will oversee FamilyCare Health’s medical directors and utilization management, encompassing utilization review (physical health and behavioral health), pharmacy, and referrals and authorizations.

As CMO and a member of the FamilyCare Health senior executive team, Dr. Muller will lead the overall clinical vision for FamilyCare Health and will support the development and implementation of innovative health services and programs within the Integrated Services department. In addition, Dr. Muller will work with the Provider Relations team and will regularly engage with members of FamilyCare Health’s provider network to advance the triple aim of improved patient experience, better population health, and lower costs.

Dr. Muller joins FamilyCare Health with a robust background in healthcare, including positions at Legacy Health System and UnitedHealth Group. Most recently, he’s served as a consultant for companies including WEBMD Health Services and Catholic Health Initiative. He received his Doctor of Medicine from Oregon Health & Science University and completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at Ohio State University.
