July 22, 2013 – The Community Advisory Council of Health Share of Oregon will hold their monthly public meeting on Friday, August 2 at Providence Milwaukie Hospital. Included on the agenda is reviewing and voting to approve the Council’s 2013-2104 Strategic Plan.

At a recent planning retreat, the Council developed strategies for how they can support organizational priorities set by Health Share’s Board of Directors. Some areas of discussion for the Council’s strategic plan include the upcoming benefits expansions for Oregon Health Plan members, meeting Health Share’s transformation plan deliverables and formalizing and implementing agreements with our public sector partners. The Council will be approving the strategic plan to meet these priorities at the August 2 meeting.

Other business will include electing a Chair, Vice-Chair, and Secretary for the Council. The positions of Chair and Vice Chair are for a period of two years; the position of Secretary is for a one-year term. Current officers can be reelected to additional terms. Per the Council’s policies and procedures, all three counties served by Health Share must be represented in the Executive Committee. The Chair of the Council also serves as a full voting member of Health Share’s Board of Directors by virtue of that role.
