HCAO Selects Larry Symonds as Fundraising Manager

February 1, 2017

HCAO is happy to announce the hiring of Larry Symonds as the first Fundraising Manager for the non-profit organization. Mr. Symonds is a dynamic, results-oriented business development and relationship management professional with a sterling record. He returned to his home state of Oregon to bring his knowledge, skills, and experience to help steward the success of important community organizations. Most recently, he helped to lead a successful capital campaign for the Boys & Girls Club of Corvallis, exceeding their goal of $4.5 four months ahead of the April target date, in December 2016.

Larry is a graduate of the University of Washington and the University of Washington School of Law. After more than 25 years building and managing successful businesses, he embarked on a career in non-profit fundraising. Capitalizing on years of estate, financial, and wealth management experience, coupled with decades of non-profit experience, Larry created a successful consulting business focused on the fundraising needs of small and mid-size community non-profit organizations.

In joining HCAO, Larry said, “I am excited and honored to be joining with such a dedicated group of community members in addressing one of our most challenging and critically important issues. I look forward to this opportunity to truly impact our community.”

President Lee Mercer said, ‘We are very excited to have Larry onboard to take us to the next level. His strong background in high-end fundraising will provide a great boost to our campaign to educate and advocate for universal health care.”
