Governor Kate Brown today met with CCO leaders and other health care representatives in Southern Oregon to gather feedback about their progress serving the health needs of their communities during the transition to CCO 2.0.
Governor Brown met today with representatives from the Umpqua Health Alliance in Roseburg and AllCare in Grants Pass, after meeting yesterday with the Cascade Health Alliance in Klamath Falls. Topics discussed at the meetings included local innovation in care coordination, cost growth targets, and community engagement.
“Oregon’s CCO system is a national model for community-based health solutions and community-driven decision making,” said Governor Brown. “I’d like to commend Oregon’s CCOs, the Oregon Health Authority (OHA), and the health care community for working together to ensure that patient care for the Oregon Health Plan’s nearly one million members has continued uninterrupted during the CCO 2.0 transition.
“While we will always have more work to do, I’m confident that our CCOs will continue to partner with OHA to ensure that everyone covered under the Oregon Health Plan has access to affordable, quality health care.”
Last month, the Oregon Health Authority announced the three CCOs had met the requirements necessary to earn full, five-year contracts to serve Oregon Health Plan members through 2024.
