Free Clinic of Southwest Washington Receives $1,000 Grant from Fred Meyer/Kroger

January 31, 2018

VANCOUVER, Wash., Jan. 24, 2018 -- The Free Clinic of Southwest Washington has received a $1,000 grant from Fred Meyer/Kroger to care for uninsured patients living with diabetes.

Under the Free Clinic's program, volunteers and community partners offer education, stabilization and comprehensive care to people with diabetes. The Free Clinic will use funds from the grant to purchase insulin.

"We're grateful for this support," says Barbe West, executive director of the Free Clinic. "This grant will provide supplies for people living with diabetes, many of whom simply can't afford the insulin they need to survive."
