Dr. Bruce Goldberg held a media briefing today to provide an update on Cover Oregon progress, including enrollments, how the application process is moving along, and an update on the IT build. The numbers in the Dashboard show that about 65,000 Oregonians submitted complete applications for coverage starting Jan. 1, 2014. Of the 65,000, more than 28,000 Oregonians have been determined eligible for coverage through Cover Oregon to date.
Statewide, more than 100,000 Oregonians have enrolled in coverage starting Jan. 1, 2014. Of that total, Cover Oregon has enrolled 9,947 Oregonians (9,219 in the Oregon Health Plan, 730 in private plans); the remainder were enrolled in the Oregon Health Plan through a fast track option.
