FamilyCare Health Seeks Members for Community Advisory Council

August 27, 2015

Portland – FamilyCare Health, the second largest Coordinated Care Organization in Oregon, is looking for new members for its Community Advisory Council (CAC).

CAC’s were established in Oregon statutes to ensure that the health care needs of consumers and communities are being addressed. They play a vital role in sharing information and finding solutions that result in the best possible delivery of health care services.

FamilyCare Health places a high-value on the Council and its members. Driven by the Council, both the community health assessment and community health improvement plan provide important guidance in identifying issues, barriers, and opportunities to improve the health of FamilyCare members across the region.

Interested individuals can get an application from the FamilyCare website: https://www.familycareinc.org/explore/community-advisor-council-application or call 503-345-5921 to get the form emailed or mailed to them. FamilyCare Health also encourages anyone who is thinking about becoming a member of the Council to attend one of their meetings.

For more information about joining the Council, please contact Brett Hamilton at 503-345-5921 or [email protected].
