FamilyCare Health Plans expands Medicare Advantage Plans with New low-cost PPOs for 2014

October 14, 2013 – FamilyCare Health Plans announces two new preferred provider organization (PPO) Medicare Advantage Plans for people living in Clackamas, Morrow, Multnomah, Umatilla, and Washington Counties in Oregon. 

 “We now offer six plans, which include four HMO plans and our new PPOs,” says Dayna Steringer, FamilyCare director of Government Programs. “We designed our plans to fit the diverse needs of Medicare-eligible individuals. Our new PPO plans start as low as $20 a month and gives people the freedom to see any Medicare approved provider without a referral. Also, with our focus on better health for our members, we’ve added a free gym membership for 2014.”

The FamilyCare Medicare Advantage plans also include after-hours nurse advice, routine vision coverage, a network of primary care providers and specialists, worldwide coverage for emergency care, and low co-pays for generic prescription medications (for plans that include Part D).  For more information about the FamilyCare Medicare Advantage Plans, individuals can call FamilyCare at 503-345-5701, toll-free 866-225-2273 or for TTY/TDD 711.
