Disaster Behavioral Health Conference

Salem, Ore., January 17, 2018 —It could be a natural or a human caused disaster… are you prepared to deal with either? For the latest resources, training, and application of behavioral health skills, we invite you to attend the Disaster Behavioral Health Conference sponsored by Chemeketa Community Colleges Threat and Disaster Resource Center.

Keynote

Two-time Pulitzer Prize winning New York Times correspondent Sheri Fink will share her stories and insights at the conference. Fink won her first Pulitzer for an article that became the basis for her book, Five Days at Memorial: Life and Death in a Storm-Ravaged Hospital about the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. She won her second Pulitzer in 2015 as part of the Times team reporting on the West Africa Ebola crisis. Recently she has been reporting on Puerto Ricans challenged to recover after Hurricanes Irma and Maria.
