What: Teams of first responders, fitness enthusiasts, sports teams, and other community groups are facing off to see who can, in the least amount of time, pull a 33,000 lb fire truck to the finish line. They're completing for bragging rights, but more importantly, to raise money for Trauma Intervention Program Northwest (TIP).
When: Saturday, June 17, 9AM-2PM
Where: Downtown Troutdale, Old Columbia River Historic Highway
Details: Saturday's event will involve teams of 12 people pulling a 33,000 lb fire engine brought in by the Gresham fire Department. Teams will pull the truck 50-feet in four rounds. The team with the fastest time at the end of the four elimination rounds will win.
Who: TIP is a group of specially trained citizen volunteers who provide emotional aid and practical support and resources to victims of traumatic events and their families in the first few hours following a tragedy.
