Columbia Pacific CCO offers extra help to members during emergency situations

December 11, 2015

Over the last few days, rain, floods and landslides have disrupted member lives, damaged property and roads in the geographic area that is covered by the Columbia Pacific Coordinated Care Organization. Some areas, like Tillamook and Columbia counties, have been hit harder than other areas. During this storm, Columbia Pacific CCO is flexing some of the rules to allow Oregon Health Plan members in those areas get the medical attention and medications that they may immediately need.

“For example, we know that some our members have been displaced from the Clatskanie area and are living somewhere else for now. We will do what we can to relax our rules and help them get medically-necessary care and services during this period of disruption,” says Mimi Haley, executive director for Columbia Pacific CCO.

“We know that some local clinics and pharmacies may be closed at this time,” says Safina Koreishi, M.D., medical director for Columbia Pacific CCO. “If you have an emergency, please call 9-1-1, but if you need medical care or medications, you may seek assistance outside of our normal network of providers. If you are having difficulty finding medical providers or medications, you can call our customer service representatives at 1-855-722-8206 (or 503-488-2822) and we will work with you to get you the care you need.”
