Cindy Becker to join FamilyCare as Vice President of Community and Government Relations

PORTLAND, Ore. (February 2, 2015) -- FamilyCare Inc., the first Coordinated Care Organization (CCO) in the tri-county area, today announced that Cindy Becker, Director of the Clackamas County Department of Health, Housing, and Human Services, will join FamilyCare as Vice President of Community and Government Relations on March 2, 2015.

In this position, Becker will lead efforts to coordinate and strengthen relationships with community partners on behalf of FamilyCare, with a goal of improving the health of all members in the communities FamilyCare serves. She will also engage state and local government in support of public policies that affect real change for health.

Becker brings more than 25 years of leadership experience to this position. As the Director of the Clackamas County Department of Health, Housing, and Human Services, she managed clinical services, released new health services—including redesigned physical and behavioral health programs—and partnered with local stakeholders to improve access to health and wellness services. Earlier in her career, Becker ran her own consulting company and held key positions in the Oregon Department of Human Services and the Oregon Department of Administrative Services.
