Join ACHS faculty member and Registered Aromatherapist (RA) Amanda Lattin as she presents the basic concepts of aromatherapy blending in this introductory lecture. You'll learn:

  • The importance of the three-perfumery notes in creating an aromatherapy blend
  • The importance of the fragrance families
  • How to organize your blending process
  • How to select the essential oils for your blend
  • How to find the desired aroma and therapeutic benefits in your blend
  • How to calculate safe dilution rates for different applications

Class will sample examples of the different perfumery notes and fragrance families and do some comparisons.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER: Amanda Lattin, BA, MAT, Dip. Aroma., MH, RA is an experienced aromatherapist, herbalist, and teaches extensively throughout the Pacific Northwest. Amanda is a graduate of ACHS and also holds a BA in Chemistry from Huntingdon College and a Masters of Teaching with a concentration in Chemistry from Lewis and Clark College.
