Beaverton High School and Virginia Garcia cut ribbon on School-Based Health Center

December 1, 2014

Beaverton, Ore.  – Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center will open its fifth School-Based Health Center (SBHC) at Beaverton High School this Friday, December 5th. The occasion will bring together officials from Virginia Garcia, Beaverton School District and Beaverton High School, as well as Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici.

The Beaverton SBHC will initially provide primary care and mental health care to Beaverton High School, later expanding to serve the entire Beaverton School District. The goal of the SBHC is to keep students healthy and ready to learn. SBHCs exist to serve our youth where it is easiest to reach them—in school!

The event is open to the public and all are welcome to attend.

Beaverton High School students will offer tours of the clinic after the ribbon cutting.
