Adventist Health is expanding their delivery of healthcare in the Portland metro area with the addition of the Parkrose Medical Plaza. The organization will break ground on the new 23,027 square foot complex on Thursday, May 30. The facility will include an urgent care center, physical therapy clinic, laboratory services, digital imaging, primary care providers, and occupational medicine.

The Parkrose Medical Plaza will be the largest new business in the Parkrose Hazelwood district home, and will employ approximately 80 employees. The comprehensive facility will open during the first quarter of 2014.

Providing access to all these services under one roof is designed to help local residents be proactive in prevention of disease and appropriate utilization of health services. “This model of healthcare reflects access to high quality, affordable care for East Portland,” states Tom Russell, president and CEO of Adventist Medical Center.

Adventist Health currently operates Adventist Medical Center, a 302 bed acute care hospital in East Portland which was recently named among the top 5% of hospitals nationwide for patient safety and 35 primary and specialty care clinics stretching from Hillsboro to Welches and Vancouver to Tualatin. The health system has been serving the needs of the metro area for more than 120 years.
