Advanced Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute Joins Good Shepherd Medical Group

March 17, 2017

HERMISTON, OR – On March 1, 2017, Advanced Orthopedics and Sports Medicine (AOSM) joined the Good Shepherd Medical Group (GSMG), a part of Good Shepherd Health Care System (GSHCS). This merger is the result of several months planning between Orthopedic Surgeon, Jeremy Anderson, D.O. and GSHCS Vice President of GSMG, Troy LeGore – and has allowed GSMG to retain one of the finest orthopedic surgeons in the state, and maintain superior orthopedic services in our community.

“Healthcare is changing. There are more regulations and more demands being placed on independent physician practices. Insurance plans can be a challenge to work with, and we struggle to meet their requirements and still stay competitive. Value has become as important as quality care in consumers’ minds and rightly so. I feel that by working together with Good Shepherd, we are in a better position to meet the needs of our community with orthopedic services well into the future,” expressed Dr. Anderson.

When asked how this will ultimately translate into a benefit for those seeking care at Advanced Orthopedics, Mr. LeGore shared, “GSMG has a lot to offer in staffing depth and in our ability to allow physicians to focus their time on patients while we take care of the business of healthcare delivery. We are also able to bundle payments and assist Dr. Anderson’s patients with the GSHCS financial assistance policy. We are very happy to help Dr. Anderson and his staff deliver the same great care that they always have.”

Advanced Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute provides advanced orthopedic services for hips, knees, shoulders, sports medicine, and total joint surgery. AOSM is located at 620 NW 11th Street, Suite 201 in Hermiston. For more information or to schedule an appointment please call 541.289.7075 or visit them online at www.hermistonortho.com.
