Stephanie Tama-Sweet joins American Heart Association

November 12, 2010 -- Stephanie Tama-Sweet has become director of government relations for the American Heart Association in Oregon. Previously she was the public policy advocate with the Oregon Food Bank. She’ll continue her role as co-chair of the Human Services Coalition of Oregon.

Dave Fiore joins OEBB

October 21, 2010 -- Dave Fiore has replaced Tom Husted on the Oregon Educators Benefit Board.

Fiore is a UniServ consultant with the Oregon Education Association, working out of their Pendleton office. Earlier, he was a high school language arts educator in Central Oregon and also worked for SAIF Corporation.

October 13, 2010 -- The CEO of Doctors of the Oregon Coast, an Oregon Health Plan based in Coos Bay, is stepping down as executive director. On Dec. 1, he’ll become the executive director of the North Bend Medical Clinic.

“His departure is a real loss to all the Oregon Health Plans, the Medicaid division, the Department of Human Services, the Oregon Health Authority and the legislature, said Janet Meyer, director of Tuality Health Alliance. “He’s been a very talented leader and effective leader.”
