Physical therapists are waiting to see if changes last week in the tier program by Regence BlueCross BlueShield, the state's largest health insurer, will relieve what they describe as an onerous administrative burden and ultimately improve the way their services are valued.

Legacy Health Introduces New Network of Independent Providers

Hopes are high, but many details still must be ironed out for 1,000 independent private practice providers in the Portland area to begin sharing data. Legacy Health Partners hopes to start treating patients in the network by January 2016.

Legacy Health has launched its own clinically integrated network designed to improve patient care and cut costs, but it's not expected to start operating for more than a year.
