John Weeks, renowned author and staunch advocate for integrative medicine and healthcare, will deliver the keynote address to the 2015 National College of Natural Medicine graduating class at the medical college’s commencement ceremony to be held Sunday, June 28, at the Oregon Convention Center. Weeks will receive an honorary Doctor of Letters degree for his longstanding work in advancing the integration of the fields of natural medicine and conventional Western medicine.
The National Institutes of Health, through the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH), has awarded $3,092,898 to the Helfgott Research Institute at the National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM) for two five-year complementary integrative health (CIH) research grants.
The Food as Medicine Institute at the National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM) will host its second annual Food As Medicine Symposium, which will offer continuing education lectures for healthcare providers and classes for the public.
National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM) and the Oregon Association of Naturopathic Physicians (OANP) honored Rita Bettenburg, ND, with the organizations’ highest honor, the 2014 Living Legend award. The award was conferred at a banquet held Dec. 6 at the Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront Hotel.
