Tualatin High School and Virginia Garcia cut ribbon on School-Based Health Center

April 23, 2015

Tualatin, Ore. – Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center will open its sixth School-Based Health Center (SBHC) at Tualatin High School on Friday, May 1st. The occasion will bring together officials from Virginia Garcia, Tigard-Tualatin School District and Tualatin High School, along with students from Tualatin High School.

The Tualatin SBHC joins the existing Tigard SBHC to expand services in the district. It will provide primary care, dental care and mental health care to students. The goal of the SBHC is to keep students healthy and ready to learn. SBHCs exist to serve our youth where it is easiest to reach them—in school!

The event is open to the public and all are welcome to attend.
