Integrated Behavioral Health Supervisor

Organization/Company Name:
Outside In
Position Description:

Outside In is looking for a resourceful, passionate, trauma-informed Integrated Behavioral Health Supervisor to join our Clinic team. The Integrated Behavioral Health Supervisor (IBH Supervisor) oversees the staffing, supervision, and billing of services for the Integrated Behavioral Health staff. IBH staff includes Behavioral Health Counselors (BHC), Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) Coordinators, and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. About half of the position’s time will be spent on providing direct BH services, with the other half focused on administrative and supervisory duties. Who you are:

You have dedicated your life’s work to supporting and serving underserved communities.

Being actively anti-racist, culturally competent, and queer competent are things you view as paramount to your personal and professional lives.

You have an understanding of mental health diagnoses, substance use disorders, and the intersections where they meet.

You understand and embrace the need for an empathetic and nuanced bedside manner, especially during moments where a patient or client is unhappy with information being shared with them or something else that may be triggering for them.

You are relational in your approach to supporting others in their mental health journeys but are clear about maintaining healthy boundaries with those you serve.

You can hold space for the trauma of others while holding an equal and equitable amount of space to take care of yourself.

You are comfortable with clearly communicating the needs and expectations of programs and processes to team members and clients while making sure all parties are heard and validated.

You can maintain your composure in a crisis and help others maintain their cool as well.

You enjoy working in environments that are the opposite of monotonous. You thrive on doing a variety of tasks throughout your workday.

You view collaboration as key to not only supporting underserved communities but to working with your team, teams across an organization, and community partners and collaborators for the common good.

You are a self-starter with the ability to split your attention between projects and change gears when something comes up that needs your immediate attention.

You work through a trauma-informed lens.
