Position Description: 

Outside In is looking for a collaborative and technology-adept communicator to join our Clinic Support Team as our Electronic Health Record (EHR) Support Analyst. This position will be an important member of the Clinic Services team, ensuring clinic staff get the hands-on support and training they need to expertly use our EHR system. The EHR Support Analyst will work at our downtown offices primarily, located at 1132 SW 13th Ave in downtown Portland, and reports to the Health Services Director.

This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week, represented, non-exempt position with a starting hourly pay range of $29.64 -$34.67, depending on experience and skills. What you will do: 

  • Design and coordinate implementation, testing and troubleshooting of complex workflows and configurations within Epic as required.
  • Provide at-the-elbows support in-person to clinic staff. Gather requirements, build, test, and implement minor changes to Epic to enhance usability as needed based on user requests and as approved by Clinic Management.
  • Act as the Primary Contact for EHR training for all roles in the Clinic. Support users & managers to ensure training and documentation occurs consistently. Conduct Epic training for most roles, including medical providers.
  • Serve as the liaison between the clinic and our Epic vendor. Work closely with the IT Site Specialist to identify configuration needs and limitations for EHR changes.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of patient, provider, and information systems needs in order to improve workflows and enhance our delivery of services.
  • Review Epic release notices for relevant information and disseminates to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Seek out and engage with Epic super-users; use them as an information-sharing and practice-improvement resource.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status or approved medical or religious exception on file is required
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical support of an EHR at an I.T., Helpdesk, or Super-user level.
  • Experience with writing comprehensive workflow documentation is required.
  • Demonstrated commitment to seeing assigned tasks through to completion.

 

Desired but not required:

  • OCHIN Epic or Epic experience.
  • EpicCare, Cadence or Ambulatory certification.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

This job requires operating phones, computers, and other office equipment. Communicating is required on a regular basis. Moving inside the building to other offices and program delivery spaces as well as moving to surrounding sites is expected. Frequently lift or move boxes weighing up to 20 pounds.
