The Lund Report is a nonprofit, online news source covering the health care industry in Oregon. The Administrative Director will perform the administrative duties necessary to keep this small but authoritative organization functioning. This is a great opportunity for an administrative professional seeking part-time, remote employment with a mission-driven organization that’s working to improve the lives of Oregonians. You will work alongside a small, talented team of journalists who are passionate about their work. Funded through subscriptions, donations and classified ads, The Lund Report has become a must-read for professionals, academics and government officials since it was launched in 2009.
The Administrative Director is responsible for managing subscriptions, the Health Hires jobs board, payments and invoicing, customer service, donations, financial reports, providing support during fundraising events and campaigns, and more. This is a part-time, remote position. Portland-area office space may be made available upon request.
The right candidate will have:
strong attention to detail
at least 2 years of office administration experience
command of Gmail, Google Sheets, Drive and Docs
excellent verbal and written communication skills
strong organizational skills
an ability to work independently and troubleshoot
customer service experience
crafting and sending emails in MailChimp
managing payments in Stripe or other payment processing system
working at a nonprofit organization
tracking and managing information using Google Sheets or Excel
uploading and editing in Drupal
managing contracts and contract workers
Wage and benefits: This position pays $20 an hour for 20 hours per week. Health insurance coverage is paid by the employer, and the employee will also recieve a monthly stipend for dental coverage and internet, as well as three weeks of paid vacation and five paid holidays.
Schedule: The 20-hour work week schedule is somewhat flexible, but must include Tuesdays, and the administrative director must work a minimum of three business days per week.
