Clackamas County Public Health is seeking qualified candidates for Community Health Nurse, Senior to provide oversight of nurse home visiting services for CaCoon and Babies First! and also provide direct services. This position also leads the work of others and ensures compliance with program regulations.
The Community Health Nurse, Senior is the advanced journey level in the series. This position assists program managers with the coordination of program staff. Incumbents perform and lead the work of professional nursing duties and may recommend changes to program operations to improve the quality of patient care.

Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university (BSN).
Ability to interpret and apply federal, state, and local laws, policies and protocols to work performed.
Possession of a Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate.
Experience preparing quantitative and qualitative data for community health assessments and strategic planning initiates.
Experience conducting case conferencing and reflective supervision.
Experience building and maintaining caseload including working with the community to maintain a referral network.
Must possess a license to practice as a registered professional nurse in the State of Oregon.
Ambulatory ability to drive throughout Clackamas County and to provide face-to-face services in the community.
At least one year of experience leading the work of and/or supervising staff. Lead work includes prioritizing, assigning and reviewing work, providing coaching for difficult issues, and training staff.
At least three years of experience providing maternal and child health nurse case management, including nursing assessments and interventions and ability to explain medical and health information accurately and in an understandable manner to clients.
Must be available for emergency, on-call and/or after hours response.
Must successfully pass a criminal history check which may include national or state fingerprint records check
Must successfully pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test.
Driving is required for County business on a regular basis or to accomplish work. Incumbents must possess a valid driver's license, and possess and maintain an acceptable driving record throughout the course of employment.
