We are seeking a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) - Crisis Specialist with experience in crisis intervention/resolution.


Job Summary:
The Qualified Mental Health Professional provides recovery oriented, crisis and therapeutic case management to serve individuals in crisis. As a Crisis Mental Health Professional, you will be a member of a collaborative team whose primary duties include providing crisis services and mental health assessments onsite in the community, institutions, and the crisis center. This position will provide resource and referral options to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. While established clinicians can step into this position, the crisis center provides training, oversight, and clinical supervision to help develop skills of entry-level staff. Licensure supervision is available.

Annual salary range of:

QMHP - Health Care Professional 2: $59,514 - $80,322

QMHP - Health Care Professional 3: $63,069 - $85,106

This position guarantees two salary raises within your first year. Increases are given at the end of the 6 month probationary period and at the 1 year anniversary, as long as your performance is in good standing! Increases are given until the maximum of the salary range is reached.

Required Qualifications and Experience: 

Minimum Qualifications
The following minimum qualifications are required for this position:  


QMHP - Health Care Professional 2 level:

Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or closely related field; AND

One year of health experience providing mental health outpatient services with at-risk youth, children and families; AND

Must be registered as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) with Mental Health & Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO) or be able to obtain certification within 6 months of hire. 

QMHP - Health Care Professional 3 level:

Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or closely related field; AND

Two years of health experience providing mental health outpatient services with at-risk youth, children and families; AND

Must be registered as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) with Mental Health & Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO) or be able to obtain certification within 6 months of hire; AND

PsyD, LCSW, LPC, LMFT or equivalent licensure.

Special Requirements:

Hiring is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check. 

Valid Oregon driver's license.

PsyD, LCSW, LPC, LMFT or equivalent licensure preferred for Health Care Professional Level 2; required for Level 3.

Benton County requires all Health Services and Clinic employees to complete their COVID-19 vaccination series or have an approved exception to the requirement due to a medical condition or sincerely held religious belief. Successful candidates for this position must submit vaccination documentation or be approved for an exception prior to their first day of employment. Failure to provide proof of full documentation or receipt of an approved exception will lead to withdrawal of the job offer.

The Ideal Candidate:

Has experience with crisis intervention/resolution. This includes responding to jail, hospital and community requests for crisis evaluations and follow up.
