Active Recovery TMS
The Director of Finance will be a strategic leader at Active Recovery TMS, reporting directly to the CEO. The successful candidate will be a hands-on manager and will be responsible for the following areas: revenue cycle management, finance, business planning and budgeting, human resources and administration. The Director of Finance will play a critical role in partnering with the senior executive team in strategic operations. About Active Recovery TMS
Our mental health clinics seek to provide a safe and effective alternative treatment for depression and OCD with transcranial magnetic stimulation, a compelling option for those who have not had success with standard depression treatments like medication and/or psychotherapy. We opened our first location in NW Portland in 2017 and have rapidly grown to five clinics across the Portland metro and greater Willamette Valley.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Functional management of the day-to-day processes including:
Month, quarter and year-end reporting & analysis
Accounts payable processing and reporting
Revenue and expenditure variance analysis
Accounts receivable, charges & billing, collections & payer mix management
Revenue recognition, insurance reimbursement protocol (credentialing, contract admin, compliance and revenue cycle control & audit
Manage third party medical billing provider and insurance companies to ensure timely and accurate processing of claims and ensure claims are billed/rebilled within carrier filing limits
Conduct weekly and monthly financial assessments and generate reports to be presented to the senior management team
Allot funds for capital projects and work with project managers to ensure they stay on track financially
Reconcile bank accounts to the GL and prepare monthly financials statements
Support company’s informational and process improvement needs with a focus on accuracy, timeliness and relevance
Improve and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, GAAP and other regulatory requirements
Coordinate and complete annual audits
Develop annual financial plans and projections for the company
Support HIPPA and regulatory compliance in business and financial management
All employees are required to wear a mask when in common areas, meeting rooms or when unable to maintain a 6 ft distance. All common surfaces are sanitized daily and PPE equipment and cleaning supplies are readily available for employees to use.
A comprehensive medical, dental and vision plan is offered to all employees. Full-time employees will receive 2 weeks paid vacation and 1 week paid sick time per year. We offer 7 company-paid holidays and 1 floating holiday per year.
Medical revenue cycle experience required
Strong knowledge of project-based accounting software, MS Office and QuickBooks
Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting concepts, practices, standards, laws & regulations
Experience working with other team members to achieve performance targets
Comfortable with templated and ad hoc financial reporting
Possess both a working knowledge of and comfort with GAAP inclusive of interpretations and application
Ability to learn quickly, manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial start-up environment
Ability to work in a self-directed manner
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence others
Qualitative and quantitative investigative skills
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Experienced problem solver
Focus on continuous improvement, including the ability to scale to support accelerated growth
Comfortable presenting information to all levels of the organization
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance (Master’s degree preferred)
Proven experience working as a Revenue Cycle Manager, Accounting Manager or Finance Manager
