Rachel Oh Helps Consumers with Insurance

See who's answering calls at the consumer complaint desk
March 4, 2010 -- As the consumer liaison in the Insurance Division, Rachel Oh works with a staff of advocates to help people answer their insurance questions or file complaints against insurers or insurance agents.
“Our advocates are a great free resource that more people should know about,” said Oh, who also visits consumer advocacy groups to hear their concerns and offer information on how the division protects consumers by regulating the insurance industry.
With a background in legislative/initiative research and campaign outreach, Oh previously coordinated research for Our Oregon, a nonprofit group with a primary focus on Oregon initiative campaigns that lobbies for economic fairness.

She also researched and provided legal analysis on state and national statutes and policies on topics ranging from tax and labor to criminal law and education. During the 2007 legislative session, Oh was an intern for Sen. Laurie Monnes-Anderson and earlier worked for the Oregon Democratic Lawyers Council.
