(SPRINGFIELD, Ore.)--Finding the right health insurance plan doesn’t have to be a headache, which is exactly why the PacificSource “Get Out, Get Covered” tour is visiting communities across the state to give Oregonians a convenient, stress-free forum where they can getindividual answers to individual health insurance questions.
Beginning Nov. 18, and with events scheduled in Tigard, Woodburn, Salem, Corvallis, Eugene, Springfield, Medford, Coos Bay and Bend, the tour is intended to educate consumers so they can make informed decisions about their health insurance options during the annual open enrollment period, which runs from Nov. 15, 2014 through Feb. 15, 2015. The informal sessions will serve as a resource for people looking to enroll in a new health insurance plan, switch plans, or make changes to their existing plan, and will allow consumers to engage in one-on-one conversations with PacificSource representatives and independent insurance agents, providing the opportunity to:
1) Ask individual questions and find answers to frequently asked questions
2) Find out if they are eligible for a tax credit
3) Explore specific plans and costs, and learn about new products available for 2015
4) Learn how to enroll, renew, or switch to an appropriate health plan
5) Find a primary care physician
Get Out, Get Covered Tour events will be held during daytime and evening hours at neighborhood gathering spots such as coffeehouses and community centers. The events feature a drop-in format that allows individuals to stop by at any point during a four- to eight-hour hour window of time for one-on-one consulting.
