Bernie Sanders’ Health Reform Plan Up for Discussion

Our July 13 breakfast forum will take on the Medicare for All Plan advocated by Sanders and also consider a counter approach that looks at our current healthcare system in Oregon.
May 25, 2016

With the Democratic National Convention just two months away, what’s likely to happen to the Medicare for All Plan advocated by Bernie Sanders? Is it the best approach for healthcare in Oregon?

On July 13, Oregon Health Forum takes a hard look at these questions when we host a breakfast forum in collaboration with Oregon Physicians for a National Health Program. The event gets underway at 7 a.m. at the Multnomah Athletic Club.

You’ll hear from:

  • Sen. Michael Dembrow, D-Portland
  • Jeff Heatherington, CEO and President, FamilyCare
  • Chris Lowe, Bernie Sanders campaign

Tim Nesbitt, columnist for The Oregonian, will moderate this event.

Other panelists will be announced shortly.

If your organization is interested in becoming a financial supporter of this event or has ideas for future events, please contact Diane Lund-Muzikant, executive director.

Oregon Health Forum is the educational arm of The Lund Report and collaborates with other nonprofit organizations to sponsor monthly breakfast forums.
