August 10, 2011 – Terri Hobbs has become the executive director of Housecall Providers, Inc., succeeding Dr. Benneth Husted, who retains the position as medical director.

Hobbs, who joined the nonprofit in September 2011 had been its administrator and development director of Housecall Providers, which offers in-home physicians and nurse practitioner services to homebound seniors and persons with disabilities as well as hospice services.

In assuming her new role, she thanked Husted who, she said, “has been an inspiration and a great example of how this organization should be run. It’s inspiring to see how incredibly hard everyone works for our patients and this organization and it’s truly an honor to be placed in this position. My goal is to see this organization continue to grow and succeed long after Benneth and I are both retired.”

Husted foresees their new partnership as an important step in Housecall’s evolution.

"Through the years Terri has been a calming presence, a wise and fair personnel manager, and a courageous advocate for Housecall Providers and the vulnerable patients we serve,” Husted said. “I can’t imagine a person I would trust more than Terri to guide this ship into the future."

Since its founding in 1995, Housecall Providers has grown from a one-physician operation to a practice that employs more than 60 people and makes more than 10,000 residence visits annually.
