Roey Thorpe to Head Planned Parenthood Political Arm

June 17, 2009 -- Roey Thorpe, who led one of the state’s largest gay rights group known as Basic Rights Oregon, has been chosen to lead Planned Parenthood Advocates of Oregon, the political arm of two Planned Parenthood organizations – Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette and Planned Parenthood of Southwest Oregon. 

Since March 2007 she’s been director of state services for the Equality Federation where she provided training and support to leaders of grassroots nonprofit advocacy organizations nationwide.
