Regence Drops Lawsuit Against PEBB

The enrollment loss of some 100,000 members representing $30 million in revenue comes after Regence has insured state employees for more than 20 years. Up until September, Regence had lawyers arguing in court to block PEBB's ruling.
"My priority is to strengthen our relationships with our customers, and to continue moving forward," Short wrote in a widely dispersed email. "To that end, our primary concern has always been to serve the best interests of Public Employees Benefit Board members and their families.
"I wanted to let you know that in the spirit of focusing on the future and on the relationships that we so highly value, we are dismissing our lawsuit against PEBB."

Amazing how litigation improves perspective. And just the type of thoughtful insight you'd want driving your "valued" relationship.
