February 11, 2010 -- Former Lane County Commissioner Bobby Green has joined the Oregon Health Authority as director of local government affairs. In that capacity he’ll be working with Barney Speight to coordinate the purchasing of public health, addictions and mental health services with county and local governments.

Green has also been a member of the Eugene City Councilor, the City of Eugene Human Rights Commission and the National Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials Association.

Governor Kulongoski appointed him to co-chair the Task Force on Federal Forest Payments and County Services, and he co-chaired a joint task force on court facilities with the Oregon Chief Justice and president of the Oregon State Bar.
