March 17, 2010 -- Mary Lou Hennrich, executive director of the Community Health Partnership, has been appointed to the Oregon Educators Benefit Board by Governor Kulongoski.

She replaces Mylia Christensen, project director of the Medicaid Evidence-Based Research Project at Oregon Health & Science University and former administrator of the Public Employees’ Benefit Board.

Hennrich was chosen because of her leadership involvement on prevention as a community activist. “The board’s charge is to encourage prevention along with providing insurance,” according to Steve Carlson, of Towers Watson, which has a consulting contract with OEBB.
