Dr. John Evans Assumes Presidency of OMA

April 14, 2010 -- Dr. John Evans III, a Portland-based anesthesiologist, becomes president of the Oregon Medical Association at its annual House of Delegates meeting on April 24. He succeeds Dr. Peter Bernardo, a general surgeon from Salem.
 
Other officers include: Dr. Carla McKelvey, a pediatrician from Coos Bay as vice president; Dr. Charles K. Anderson, an anesthesiologist from Bend as secretary-treasurer; Dr. Mary K. McCarthy, a psychiatrist from Portland as speaker of the house and Dr. Frances E. Biagloli, a family medicine practitioner from Portland, as vice speaker of the house.

 

The OMA executive committee also includes Dr. Monica Wehby, a neurological surgeon from Portland, Dr. William C. Pierce, an oncologist from Salem and Dr. David E. Shute, an internist from Portland.
